Two Things On My Mind

The first is that winter is coming and I'm not ready. We were getting things together for Brigham's ball game last night and I was side swiped by the fact that it was cold outside. There was no getting around it. We need jackets. Long pants would be nice too. It took me some time to locate the remains of last years winter clothes and then we all played musical pants trying to find an appropriate size for each little tush. Those tushes have changed since last year.

I am, on the other hand, completely ready for the chilly weather in the hot chocolate department. Thanks goes to Grandma LaFawn, who heard of my difficulty in obtaining the church's hot cocoa mix (the very best in the land) and sent a whole can down with my parents. I love you Grandma and I think of you every morning as the kids and I warm our tummy's.

Secondly, it is my Grandpa Mark's Birthday and we all wish we were in Cedar to give him a hug and sing him a song. My Grandpa taught me how to whittle while we spent summers up at his mountain cabin and it was then that I fell in love with wood working. He told me it was ok to get dirty and he even helped me out by providing big mounds of coal for climbing. He showed me the importance of putting your shoulder to the wheel by working hard his whole life. He bought me soda and let me ride in the back of his truck. Thank you, Grandpa. I love you very much.
