In the spring of 2003 we got one of those little swing sets for the girls. It had 3 swings, a teeter totter on one end and a slide on the other. The chains were even covered in soft plastic to protect little fingers.
Fast forward seven years and the little swing that could is still with us. Some may say that it needs liposuction and Botox, but we like it just the way it is. The fancy add-ons (teeter totter and slide) have long since met their maker and the soft plastic chain covers disintegrated years ago. All that remains is the bare frame with only 2 seats suspended from rusty chains. The kids love it. They have found that if one girl sits on the cross bar and the other two swing at opposite times they can get maximum height without the whole thing flipping over. Something they would not have figured out had their parents taken the time to set the legs in concrete. But who does that?! Then there are times that flipping it over is the goal.

To Flip, Or Not To Flip?

Looks like fun. It is amazing what kids come up with. Like us for instance turning Granny B's food storage room into a hunt and having tea parties on that bright yellow table. Or playing in the sheep trailer eating tomato's and drinking v8 juice with a lot of salt in it. Oh... those are some of my fondest memories. I love checking your blog because the grass is so green in all your pictures and we still have snow on the ground. It gives me spring fever bad!!! Keep us posted on any new fun activities.
Beeson, I seriously love your blog. Its so awesome to be able to read about the girls and Bauer. Keep blogging! :)
I didn't know you were supposed to set the legs in concrete!! That explains a few things.
