Yesterday I got to spend the whole day with Bing. We cuddled, laughed, cried, played peek-a-boo, sang songs and I even gave him his first sucker. At the end of the day he fell asleep in my arms. Something he hasn't done since he was a newborn.
It all started with him doing the Nestea plunge off of the little kid table out back and landing on the cement. I was not there to witness, but Ruby assures me that's the way it went down. When I found him he was laying by the back door crying the "scary cry". You know the one that tells you something is really wrong. I didn't know what it was at first but then I noticed he wasn't using his left arm so, off to urgent care we went. Brigham joined us there as Bauer was examined and x-rayed. Brigham took x-ray duty and I was grateful to have him there. From what I heard down the hall it hurt quite a bit. Brigham broke the tension when he busted out with the fact that he was pregnant and was wondering if the x-ray machine would have any affect on him. The technician just looked at him and said, "Ya, you've got problems".After seeing where the break was located the doctor sent us straight to the children's hospital at
John C. Lincoln. There, Bing was fitted with a temporary splint and a sissy-lookin' sling. The docs referred us to a orthopedic surgeon to find out if he needs pins drilled into his bone to fix it right. When I heard the words surgery and pins I excused myself to call my brother Eric who knows a thing or two about orthopedics. He concurred with everything that I was told(You can use the word "concurred" when you're talking medical-talk). Thanks, Eric for putting my mind at ease. I'm sure my life will be filled with many more emergency calls to you. Thanks also to my mom for watching the girls so that Brigham and I could both hang out with Bing on his "special" day.

Poor little guy! Aren't you so glad to have a husband that can come and help? I am totally the same way with Jon, I hate having to do the big stuff like that alone! Hope he feels better! (By the way he is darling...)
I am so sorry. The xray broke my heart. We'll be praying for you.
Can't believe Brigham's expecting. So excited for all of you.
Bing looks dang cute in his sissy sling. Hope his arm heals well.
Dang, that stinks! I have to say, though, he looks adorable in the "sissy-looking" sling! And, Brigham cracks me up! Way to break the tension and help you feel better!
ummm...I LOVED the spell-checked new post! That is awesome! Oh, oh, oh how I LOVE my Tammy!
Poor Guy! That picture of him with a single tear is so sweet. What a cutie. Keep us posted on Surgery, I'll be thinking about you guys!
That is so exciting Brigham is expecting! I bet he is just glowing. LOL, that is the perfect tension breaker...
We love you Tammy! You are such a great Mom and the little kids always look perfect with their hair done all the time. We wouldn't trade you for a million dollars. Good luck with Bing's arm.
This was the most up beat story of a broken arm I've ever read. Good job Tammy on not freaking out, that would be so hard! I hope it heals so fast and without surgery so that his sling can be used on dollies instead. XO
I left a comment a few days ago but I guess it didn't post...Bauer is just too sweet! So sorry you guys had to go through that:( I hope he heals fast. We love and miss you all!
